It’s cranberry season, and their prices are amazing! Forest fruits is our guilty pleasure this summer and we can’t get enough of it. This cranberry syrup recipe is SO easy to make, and it takes only 5 INGREDIENTS! It’s perfect for pouring over the top of a big stack of pancakes.We have a few more plans for using this syrup and we can’t wait to share it with you. It goes also so well with waffles or in your drink.
- 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- pinch sea salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 2: Stir until sugar is dissolved and on a medium heat allow to simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring sporadically with a wooden spoon until mixture becomes thick and sticky.
Step 3: Place a colander over a bowl and strain the mixture through. Press down lightly on solids to get excess syrup out.
Step 4: Place in the refrigerator to cool slightly. Syrup will be ready for use in 10-15 minutes.
