- 1-2 Racks Pork Ribs
- 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tablespoon cayenne
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- BBQ sauce
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 180°C. Clean your ribs by running them under warm water and patting dry. Carefully remove the silver skin.
Step 2: In a small bowl prepare the rub by mixing all dry ingredients. Then prepare a baking sheet with a rack, and you can line the baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. Place the ribs on the rack and coat the ribs with the rub on all sides. Be sure to pat the run in to form a crust.
Step 3: Wrap the ribs with foil Individually so they don’t dry out, then place it into the oven for 2 hours. Place it on the rack bone side down. Make sure you have the ribs in the middle of the oven and that the oven’s properly preheated.
Step 4: After 2 hours poke the ribs with a knife or a toothpick in the thickest part of the ribs. If it slides in with no resistance, the ribs are done. If not, place the ribs back into the oven for another half hour or until tender.
Step 5: It’s time to sauce the ribs. Remove foil from ribs and brush both sides with barbecue sauce. Broil until sauce starts to caramelize, 5 – 10 minutes.
Step 6: Remove the ribs from the oven add another layer of sauce and cut the ribs.
