Ohhh, finally weekend – the best part of the week, free time, good time and cooking time.

When it comes to cook during the week, time is a problem – the food needs to be fast, ingenious and obviously delicious. That’s why the weekend is made for — a lot of free time for cooking, trying new recipes, exploring different flavors or just making mess in the kitchen. 🙂
We like to start our weekend with a short “warm up” – a energy boost breakfast, full of flavors, fresh and easy to make — banana and chocolate pancakes.
Thick and fluffy, this homemade pancakes are melt in your mouth delicious. Top them with fresh fruits like berries, bananas, or chocolate chips. For more flavors you can add maple syrup or honey. Whatever you choose this pancakes are divine.
- 4 cups flour, sifted (500 g)
- 4 tablespoons baking powder
- 4 cups milk, warm to the touch
- ¾ cup butter, melted
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 egg white
- honey and banana slices to serve
Step 1: In a large bowl whisk together the flour and baking powder.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, add the butter, milk, and egg yolks, stirring to combine.
Step 3: In a third bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir with rubber spatula until just combined. Add the beaten egg whites and gently fold to combine.
Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat. Pour 1 ½ cups of pancake batter into the skillet, smooth out the top, then cover with a lid. Cook until golden brown on the bottom and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Transfer the pancake to a plate and repeat, making 3 more pancakes with the remaining batter. You can also use a mini one egg frying pan to make individual and equally pancakes.
Serve with honey, maples syrup or jam and topped with fresh fruits.
